9 JUL 26 SITREP

1. Tyler Robinson Preliminary Hearing: Explosive Lance Twiggs Testimony
  • On Day 4 of the preliminary hearing before Judge Graf in Utah, the state introduced multiple exhibits from Lance Twiggs's phone, including text threads and a photograph of a handwritten note found under Tyler Robinson's keyboard, recovered after Twiggs's phone was seized by St. George PD, downloaded via Cellebrite software, transported by the FBI to the Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory (RCFL) in Salt Lake City, and analyzed by a SCIAC analyst; State's Exhibit 5.1 addressed the victim-targeting enhancement under Utah Code Annotated 76-3-203.14(2) alleging Robinson intentionally selected Charlie Kirk because of Kirk's political expression and was admitted and published to both the gallery and the public by Judge Graf as relevant and material to the bindover determination while deferring final decision-making to the trial court.
  • Lance Twiggs, Robinson's boyfriend and roommate, provided video testimony recorded on April 20th in which he confirmed under oath that Robinson confessed to killing Charlie Kirk, verifying Robinson's phone number, Discord screen name, and account, and authenticating the text messages and Discord chat logs as genuine communications from Robinson; Twiggs was granted use immunity because portions of the text thread appeared to show him assisting Robinson in recovering the rifle from its drop site after the shooting, placing Twiggs in potential legal jeopardy as a possible accessory after the fact.
  • State's Exhibit 16.1, the text thread between Robinson and Twiggs, was admitted and published to the gallery and public; it included Robinson instructing Twiggs to retrieve his rifle from a bush, referencing his father's concern that the gun would not suffice for a hunting trip and stating he thought it would do just fine if that day was any indication, as well as Robinson directing Twiggs to delete communications, avoid speaking to police, and contact attorney Doug Terry if questioned by law enforcement; Robinson also asked Twiggs via text to obtain a Dremel tool claiming it was for a camping and hunting trip and used it to engrave bullets.
  • A heavily redacted version of Twiggs's video testimony was shown in open court and on the public livestream while an unredacted version was provided solely to Judge Graf for his probable cause determination; Twiggs retained the text messages and photographed the handwritten note rather than deleting them as Robinson had instructed, and Erica Kirk's personal attorney filed a motion requesting all exhibits be made fully public, arguing the family had waited 10 months for this proceeding.
2. Jack Posobiec Live From Provo: Ballistics, Confessions, And Trial Outlook
  • ATF ballistics testimony confirmed the round used in the killing of Charlie Kirk was a soft point Remington 30 odd 6 bullet designed to expand and mushroom on impact, accounting for the absence of an exit wound; the ATF uses water tanks to preserve test fired bullets due to the degree of fragmentation that occurs upon firing, and the analyst confirmed that level of damage occurred in this case, precluding certain testing.
  • The cartridges recovered from the scene bore Dremel engraved inscriptions including "Hey Fascist," "Catch," and "Oh Bella Chow," the Antifa anthem rooted in a World War II communist song; Twiggs testified Robinson requested the Dremel tool approximately 1 month before September 10th, claiming he wanted to engrave messages on bullets for a hunting trip he had been referencing for approximately 2 months prior to the shooting.
  • Jack stated that Twiggs testified under oath that Robinson confessed multiple times, that the Twiggs video broke the case open, and that Robinson's own defense team referred to the communications as "Tyler's messages" and "Tyler's Discord messages" without challenging their authenticity; Jack also highlighted that a Nest camera independently captured loud crickets at the rifle drop site, directly corroborating Robinson's text to Twiggs stating "these crickets are so loud."
  • Jack stated Robinson's confessions span at least 4 distinct channels including Discord, text message, the handwritten note, an in-person admission to Twiggs at their apartment on September 11th, and separate admissions to Robinson's parents and a family neighbor; Will Chamberlain of the Article 3 Project confirmed all confessions are expected to be admitted at trial under multiple hearsay exceptions, that Twiggs's use immunity strips him of Fifth Amendment protections, and that Robinson's parents, lover, and neighbor will all be compelled to testify against him under oath.
3. American-Born Mother Beaten To Death In Killarney, Ireland; Asylum Seeker Sought
  • Jamey Carney, 43, originally from New York, was found beaten to death inside her home on Muckross Road in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland, on Tuesday afternoon after her 13-year-old daughter became concerned when she could not reach her mother and alerted a family friend, who contacted another man, who then called the Gardaí; officers arrived shortly after 1:20 p.m. and pronounced Carney dead at the scene.
  • Investigators believe Carney suffered severe head injuries, that her body had been covered with a duvet and may have gone undiscovered for up to 13 hours, and that the killing likely occurred late Monday night or in the early hours of Tuesday; witnesses reportedly heard an argument between Carney and a man at the home the night before her body was discovered.
  • The suspect, identified by reporting as Ahmad Al-Saqar, a Jordanian asylum seeker, had been living in an International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) center in Killarney since approximately mid-2024 after previously residing in France, occasionally stayed at Carney's home, and is believed to have known her personally; Irish police are conducting a major search for the suspect, who is believed to have fled Ireland.
  • Carney had lived in Killarney for approximately five years after relocating from New York with her daughter, had reportedly converted to Islam, was active in pro-Palestinian causes, and regularly posted social media content alongside the suspect; the left-wing Irish Times reported that Gardaí are concerned the killing may be taken up by American political figures, while Mayor of Killarney John O'Donoghue stated the news cast a dark cloud over the tourist town.

FINAL WORD
The Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing and the murder of Jamey Carney in Killarney both expose how failures in institutional oversight, radicalized ideological environments, and unchecked personal relationships enable targeted violence with devastating consequences. In both cases, digital communications and intimate personal knowledge of the perpetrators now sit at the center of each investigation and legal proceeding. Justice in each case depends on whether legal systems on both sides of the Atlantic can compel full accountability from those with direct knowledge of the crimes.
