2 JUN 26 SITREP

1. The Murder Of Henry Nowak And The Southampton Police Response
  • On 3 December 2025, 18-year-old British university student Henry Nowak was stabbed five times by Vikram Degwa in Southampton, UK; Nowak had been outside a bar filming a Snapchat video when the attack occurred.
  • When Hampshire and Isle of Wight constabulary officers arrived on scene, Degwa’s family falsely accused Nowak of being the perpetrator; the mother concealed the murder weapon, the father physically pinned Nowak against a wall, and the brother made a fraudulent call to law enforcement.
  • Nowak told responding officers he could not breathe nine times and stated he had been stabbed four times; one officer responded, “I don’t think you have, mate,” and Nowak was handcuffed, dragged across gravel, and arrested for assault rather than receiving medical aid.
  • Body cam footage released months after the incident showed officers joking and displaying no urgency as Nowak lay bleeding; at least one of the four officers involved has since resigned, and all four are currently being treated as witnesses rather than facing restrictions.
2. Michigan Nurse Triggers Secret Service Investigation After Threatening To Cut Trump’s Neck
  • A video circulating online shows Michigan nurse Rhonda Lee stating she intended to drive to Washington, DC, with a knife and cut President Trump across the neck, though Trump was not explicitly named in the recording.
  • The US Secret Service confirmed it is reviewing the matter; spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi stated that anything perceived as a threat to the president or any Secret Service protectee is taken extremely seriously and investigated thoroughly.
  • A LinkedIn profile for Lee indicated she had worked at the University of Michigan Medical Center since 2000; the institution stated she had not been employed there since 2023, and Michigan Medicine senior director of public relations Mary Masson confirmed the institution is cooperating with law enforcement.
  • This incident follows the April 25 assassination attempt against Trump, in which federal authorities charged Cole Tomas Allen, 31, of Torrance, California, with attempting to assassinate the president after a security breach at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner venue in Washington, DC.
3. Trump, Iran, And The Middle East Diplomatic Crisis
  • 95 days into the Gaza conflict, President Trump declared negotiations were back on track, but Israel’s military incursion into Lebanon and its advancing operations against Iranian-backed Hezbollah complicated the talks and brought them to the brink of collapse.
  • Iran threatened to call off talks with the United States entirely over the Lebanon escalation; Trump initially said he “couldn’t care less” and characterized the negotiations as having “started to get very boring” before reversing course and calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly.
  • Sources reported the Trump-Netanyahu call as tense, with Trump fuming at Netanyahu over the escalation and at one point asking him, “What the f*** are you doing?”
  • And as for oil situation, executives have issued warnings that fuel inventories are approaching critically low levels, stating prices will surge once those levels are reached, with the timeline estimated at two to three weeks if the Strait of Hormuz is not immediately reopened.

FINAL WORD
The murder of Henry Nowak, the Secret Service investigation into Rhonda Lee, and Iran’s threats against the United States reflect a world where violence and intimidation are increasingly open and brazen. Southampton police handcuffed a dying student while his killer’s family hid the weapon, and a Michigan nurse broadcast a knife threat against the president on social media. These are not isolated incidents but connected symptoms of decay across the West.
