1. Mark Hamill Posts Picture Of Trump In A Grave
Mark Hamill, best known for playing Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars film trilogy, posted an image on the liberal social media platform Bluesky showing President Trump inside a grave with the caption “If Only” before writing that Trump should stay alive long enough to lose the midterms, face impeachment, be convicted, and become disgraced in history books under the hashtag “#don_TheCON.”
The White House Rapid Response account called Hamill “one sick individual” and blamed “Radical Left lunatics” for rhetoric tied to three assassination attempts against Trump within two years.
Republicans at large tied Hamill’s post to multiple assassination attempts against Trump, including the most recent one of Cole Allen charging through a security checkpoint with a rifle during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Thomas Matthew Crooks shooting Trump during a 2024 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, and Ryan Routh attempting to kill Trump at a Florida golf course later that same year.
Hamill previously told his wife they should move to England if Trump won the 2024 election before she convinced him to stay in the United States.
2. Savanah Hernandez Assault Lawsuit Against Ostroushko Family
Turning Point USA Frontlines reporter Savanah Hernandez filed a civil lawsuit in the US District Court for the District of Minnesota against Christopher, DeYanna, and Paige Ostroushko after the family was caught on video allegedly attacking her during an anti-ICE protest outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis on 4/11.
Protesters connected to demonstrations branded “National F*ck ICE Day” allegedly surrounded Hernandez, mocked her Christian faith, shouted obscenities, blew whistles into her ears, slapped her with sex toys, shoved her to the ground multiple times, and blocked her from leaving the area.
Paige Ostroushko allegedly followed Hernandez while repeatedly blowing a whistle inches from her ear, DeYanna Ostroushko allegedly shoved Hernandez while screaming profanities and questioning her ethnicity, and Christopher Ostroushko allegedly body checked Hernandez before violently shoving her to the ground with both hands.
Hernandez reported suffering a concussion, strained ankle and cervical spine muscles, severe neck and lower back pain, dizziness, headaches, emotional trauma, and broken prescription glasses while the lawsuit also accused the Ostroushko family of later celebrating the incident online and appearing on media programs while raising money through GoFundMe.
3. Voter Concerns Over Inflation Crime And Healthcare
New polling shows that the cost of living and inflation as the top concerns for voters, followed by the economy and jobs, healthcare, crime and safety, and immigration and border security.
Rising healthcare costs, insurance premiums, deductibles, and Obamacare-related expenses have continued placing financial pressure on households across the United States.
And notably, crime and safety have returned to the top five voter concerns after falling outside the leading issues during the first months of President Trump’s administration while conditions in Los Angeles fueled additional public anxiety surrounding violent crime and disorder.
And heading into the midterm elections, Independent voters have ranked immigration and border security lower than Republican voters while corruption, accountability, household affordability, grocery prices, and gas prices still continue to shape voter priorities overall.
FINAL WORD
The events showed political extremism, public disorder, and economic anxiety increasingly colliding across American public life. Violent rhetoric, activist confrontations, and growing fears surrounding affordability and public safety intensified pressure on institutions, political culture, and public trust. Together, the developments reflected widening polarization, instability, and distrust affecting multiple areas of American society.
On today's episode of Human Events Daily, Mark Hamill, best known for starring as Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars films, posted a picture, on the liberal social media network Bluesky, of President Trump in a grave. This comes right after the third failed assassination attempt on Trump's life just a few weekends ago during the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
