1. Trans-Identified Shooter At Pawtucket, Rhode Island High School Hockey Game
  • Yesterday, gunshots rang out during a high school hockey game at an ice rink in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
  • Police identified the transgender shooter as 56-year-old Robert Dorgan, who also went by the name Roberta Esposito, and stated he entered the arena armed with multiple weapons to watch a family member before opening fire.
  • Authorities reported that 2 victims and the suspected shooter were dead, 3 others were left in critical condition, and witnesses stated the shooter shot himself inside the ice rink.
  • Police said the attack appeared to stem from a family dispute, a bystander subdued the gunman to prevent further bloodshed, and a woman identifying herself as the shooter’s daughter told WCVB it was a domestic breakdown and said he had mental health issues.
2. Pima County Sheriff’s DNA Update In The Nancy Guthrie Investigation
  • Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told Fox News that the male DNA profile found on a black glove located two miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home did not match any entries in the FBI’s DNA database.
  • Nanos added that DNA recovered from Guthrie’s residence also failed to produce any matches, and he confirmed the glove profile is distinct from the DNA collected inside the home.
  • Authorities previously said a black glove recovered near Guthrie’s home could match one worn by a masked man captured on doorbell camera footage showing a man wearing black gloves, carrying a backpack, armed with a gun, and tampering with Guthrie’s front-door camera.
  • The FBI announced it was conducting an extensive search along multiple roadways in the Catalina Foothills area related to the Nancy Guthrie investigation, and NBC affiliate KVOA reported that two gloves were submitted for DNA testing with no matches returned.
3. Alabama Family Knife Attack In Belgium And U.S. Embassy Response
  • Alabama resident Amanda Hardy said she, her daughter Willow, a friend, and the friend’s daughter were targeted in an anti-ICE knife attack in Belgium during a trip for Willow’s 13th birthday.
  • Hardy said the alleged assailant asked if they “like ICE” before drawing a knife, and she said the attacker also stated, “I can shoot too,” in reference to a gun.
  • Hardy said she received a phone call from U.S. Ambassador to Belgium Bill White, who apologized on behalf of the Embassy and on behalf of the President, and she said White told her policies at the U.S. Embassy in Belgium were reviewed and changed so no other American family is left in that position.
  • A statement posted to the U.S. Embassy in Belgium’s website said Ambassador White contacted Belgian authorities including the Interior Minister, the Justice Minister, the Chief Prosecutor, and the South Brussels police chief, called for prosecution to the fullest extent of the law, and changed internal procedures to immediately notify the Ambassador when similar situations occur.

FINAL WORDAcross these events, the central pressure point is how institutions respond when violence and uncertainty test the limits of their systems. The outcomes turned on the speed and quality of coordination between frontline responders, forensic infrastructure, and cross-border diplomatic channels. Together, the cases show how gaps in evidence, delayed intervention, and procedural failures can compound harm while policy changes and investigative persistence attempt to restore accountability.
