3. Mexico State Legislators Shot In Downtown Culiacan, Sinaloa
  • Two sitting state legislators, Sergio Torres Felix and Elizabeth Rafaela Montoya Ojeda of the Citizens’ Movement party, were wounded Wednesday after gunmen opened fire on their vehicle around noon in downtown Culiacan, Sinaloa, near the city’s boardwalk shortly after leaving the state Congress building.
  • Elizabeth Rafaela Montoya Ojeda was struck by a bullet and was listed in stable condition, while Sergio Torres Felix was injured by shrapnel and was reported to be in delicate but stable condition.
